Gifts for Grads Linky Party!

I am so excited to be linking up with All Ya'll Need for their gifts for SLP grads linky party! I am a semi-recent graduate myself (two years ago at this time I was sitting in that hot gym with hundreds of other anxious candidates waiting to get hooded)! Here are a few things I think that every new SLP grad would greatly appreciate! 

1. An awesome BAG! I got this super cute SLP bag from the amazing SLP that I student taught with! I also have several different sized Vera Bradley bags as well as Thirty-One bags-I love them all for all different reasons! You can never have enough bags! 

2. An amazing planner and cute office supplies! Yes, it truly is exciting to get your very own (pink) stapler and adorable sticky notes! We spend so much time on paperwork that having "special" things to help you complete it makes it that much better. I recently splurged and purchased an Erin Condren Planner and I love it, but any (large) planner will do! 

3. Anything SLP "themed".  After spending 6+ years in college to be an SLP you can bet that your graduate is proud to FINALLY be able to call themselves an SLP so purchasing them an SLP coffee mug or travel thermos is not dorky! There is also some super cute SLP apparel/accessories out there from the Peachie Speechie! 

4. Last but certainly not least would be some awesome printable SLP materials! My Common Core Aligned Kindergarten File Folder Games are the perfect gift for any SLP working with young children! They are based off the speaking and listening common core standards and are great to work on in the general education classroom, or during pull-out therapy groups.  Another printable resource that I use DAILY during my therapy sessions is my Daily Conversation Starters. They are a great way to target a WIDE vareity of speech and language skills and are designed with appropriate questions for elementary students up to high school students. I have loved getting to know my students better through these conversation starters! I even know where they would go if they could leave school and fly straight there, and why!
