Social Problem Solving-HOLIDAY edition

I am so excited about this activity!  The holiday season should be something to look forward to, but for many  of students (especially those with pragmatic language disorders) they can be so stressful!  During the holidays family and friends gather.  Where there are large numbers of people there are sure to be situations that make our students feel uncomfortable.  To help my students feel more comfortable in these situations I developed this social problem solving packet with a holiday theme.  In this packet you will find: brief descriptions of 6 winter holidays (Christmas, Kwanza, Hanukkah, Winter Solstice, Chinese New, and New Year.)  The main part of the packet is the 42 holiday themed social problem solving scenario cards.  There is one page of winter holiday conversation starters, and an open-ended holiday/winter themed game that can be played in conjunction with the problem solving cards or to target any speech/language goal.  You can purchase this activity in my TPT store by clicking HERE.
Here are some sample images from the activity!

Here's the page of brief descriptions of the 6 winter holidays.

Here's a sample of the social problem solving scenario cards. These are all situations that were developed to be real-life scenarios that could happen to any of our high school/middle school students over the holidays!

Here are some holiday themed conversation starters to help facilitate conversation and target other social goals.

Here's a little sample of the open-ended winter themed game.  This game is also available to be purchased separately for $1.00 in my TPT store.  The link to the open ended game is HERE
